En lo alto de Viana do Castelo se alza el Santuario de Santa Luzia.
Construida entre 1904 y 1943, la iglesia se inspira en la arquitectura románica y bizantina. Su diseño se compara a menudo con la Basílica del Sacré-Coeur de París.
