If you need to fill up today then fuel prices will be cheaper this Monday, with forecasts pointing to a price reduction of around five cents for diesel and 4.5 cents for petrol, a source in the sector told Notícias ao Minuto.

At the beginning of last week, the prices of both also dropped and the average price of simple diesel became cheaper than that of petrol, which has not happened since August.

On Sunday, November 27, the average price of simple diesel was €1,684/litre, while plain petrol 95 cost, on average, €1,687/litre, according to data from the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).
