The
BAFTA nominations for the film include Best Film, Best Director, and Best
Original Screenplay. Colin Farrell is nominated for Best Actor, while Brendan
Gleeson and Barry Keoghan are both nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Kerry
Condon, who plays Farrell’s onscreen sister, is nominated for Best Supporting
Actress.
The
film will face tough competition, however, with smash hit Everything
Everywhere All at Once also nominated for ten awards. Netflix’s All
Quiet on the Western Front, directed by Edward Bruger, received the
most nominations, with fourteen.
Additionally,
Irish-language film An Cailín Ciúin, directed by Colm Bairéad, has been
nominated for Film Not in the English Language and Best Adapted Screenplay.
