Bank BPI has cut 25 workers and closed 18 branches since the beginning of the year to the end of the first quarter.

In a statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM) regarding the quarterly results (profits of €60 million), BPI reveals that the number of workers decreased to 4,597, 25 less than the 4,622 with which it closed the year in 2020.

According to the statement sent to the CMVM, BPI recorded a consolidated profit of €60 million in the first three months of the year, €54 million of which related to activity in Portugal.
