In a statement, the GNR said that, “following due diligence” by the authorities, “it was found that the young people are suspected of being in the immediate vicinity of the ignition of the fire, moments before the start of the ignition and allegedly provoked the fires”.
This fire resulted in a total burned area of about 1.5 hectares, belonging to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, in the district of Lisbon.
