The Portimão Autodrómo was in the spotlight again last weekend as it played host to the FIA Karting World Champions.

Two new World Champions were crowned on 8 November after a rain soaked morning provided some exciting racing.
Freddie Slater was crowned Junior Champion at the age of 12. After taking the lead early in the finals, he held off late pushes from Avrid Linblad to take victory by just a few thousandths of a second.

The finals of the ‘Original Karts’ series saw Callum Bradshaw dominate in the wet conditions finishing a massive 6 seconds ahead of Joe Turney and Pedro Hiltbrand to be crowned the FIA Karting World Champion. PM
