The Portuguese Hotel, Restaurant and Similar Association (AHRESP) today opposed the ban on the sale of any type of drinks to go, stressing that what is intended to be prevented is consumption within the establishments. In its daily bulletin, the association said that "the latest restrictive measures imposed on the operation of restaurants and the like have come to determine the prohibition of the sale of any type of drinks to take away”. But AHRESP considers that “the sale of beverages itself does not represent any added risk”, and argues that “this measure should be revoked”.
