It will be a grey and wet weekend in the capital this weekend with heavy showers and temperatures reaching highs of 16 degrees and lows of 12 degrees. Rain is to continue on Monday before clearing on Tuesday and remaining dry for the rest of the week with highs of 17 degrees and lows of 11 degrees.

The north
The wet weather is to continue over the weekend with temperatures reaching highs of 14 degrees and lows of 11 degrees. The rain will continue for the rest of the week with a chance of intermittent sunshine from Tuesday and temperatures peaking at 15 degrees and dropping to lows of 10 degrees.

The centre
Heavy rain is expected throughout the weekend with temperatures reaching highs of 13 degrees and lows of 5 degrees on Saturday but of 11 degrees on Sunday. From Tuesday the clouds are to clear and temperatures are to peak at daily highs of 15 degrees with nightly lows averaging 8 degrees.

The south
Light rain is expected on Saturday with temperatures reaching highs of 17 degrees and lows of 9 degrees before heavier showers on Sunday with highs of 18 degrees and lows of 14 degrees. From Tuesday it is to be dry and bright with the best of the weather predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.

Madeira: It is to be warm and bright in Madeira all weekend with highs of 21 degrees and lows of 16 degrees. The remainder of the week is to be sunny with a chance of intermittent cloud with average daily temperatures of 21 degrees and nightly lows of 17 degrees.

The Azores: Light showers and intermittent sunshine are expected this weekend in the Azores with highs of 18 degrees and lows of 14 degrees. The weather is to remain the same for the rest of the week with southerly winds and a high chance of rain each day.
