The movement aims to make the use of food surpluses common practice

The municipality of Lagos has joined the growing movement against food waste. Lagos joined the "United Against Waste" initiative, which is described as a "a civic movement that aims to draw attention to food waste and find ways to reduce it", Lagos council said. The movement aims to make “the use of food surpluses common practice, warn of losses and wastage, encourage the donation of leftovers, promote responsible consumption and build a true Circular Economy”.
