Lagoa council has received an “Honourable Mention” for its work in environmental education. Lagoa was distinguished with the mention by the Blue Flag Association of Europe (ABAE) and the Portuguese Environment Agency, for its work in environmental education activities during the year 2020. Approximately 21,500 people participated in the different environmental education activities promoted by the Municipality of Lagoa throughout the year.
