More than a quarter of the unemployed in the Algarve are foreigners

More than a quarter (27.8%) of the unemployed enrolled in employment centres in the Algarve are foreigners, according to the latest data, from December, from the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP).

Of the 31,313 jobless people enrolled in the Algarve at the end of 2020, 8,712 were not born in Portugal. Brazilians, Indians, Nepalese and Ukrainians are among the foreign nationalities that are most out of work
