The book takes you through Germany’s Rhine River, the Scottish valley, Mallorca and many more places. You get transported to fifty gardens from 11 different countries. Many of these spaces are not open to the public or off limits. Each garden includes a profile of the owners and history behind the garden and land they are on. The gardens cater to all tastes and sizes and include modern designs as well which was a surprise.

Some of the gardens are by well known designers like Andy Malengier and Louis Benech.

The author, Carolyn Mullet is an award-winning garden designer. She also showcases gardens from around the globe on social media and has a large following of garden and plant enthusiasts from all over the world.

The photos in the book are wonderful and are divided into chapters by country/region.

I lost a few good hours absorbed by beauty of the pictures. This book is not aimed at a reader who is looking for specific ways to plant; etc but rather affords you a once in a lifetime peek into magical spaces.

During these difficult times with all the restrictions in place this book is a great way to visit such dazzling places whether it’s for motivation or just for fun you are sure to be inspired.
