The Minister of Home Affairs announced today that the possibility for police officers to use ‘bodycams’ on their uniforms will be addressed in a proposal for the new video surveillance law. “The new video surveillance law that incorporates 'bodycams' as an instrument of transparency and safeguarding police officers has already been placed in the Government's legislative process,” said Eduardo Cabrita in the parliamentary committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees, where he was spoke today.
