Portugal climbs 13 places in equality of sexes

Iceland leads the ranking of the most evenly-balanced countries for the 12th consecutive year, followed by Finland, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden.

Portugal has climbed 13 places in the 'ranking' of equality between men and women established annually by the World Economic Forum (WEF), currently being placed 22nd among 156 countries, having previously ranked 35th. This, in a year of global regression in progress achieved due to the pandemic health crisis.
