Portugal is for the fourth consecutive week the EU country with lowest incidence of COVID-19 infections.

With 56 cases per 100,000 people, Portugal has less than half the number of infections than second-placed Denmark, which currently reports an average of 129 cases.

Nationally, the Algarve has seen cases climb at a rapid rate in recent weeks, and is now the worst affected region in the country.
