I am due an injection of Prostap in early May but I cannot get a flight back to the UK until 3 weeks later and it would not surprise me if this was cancelled like two other flights I have booked.
I have spoken to the British Embassy about my problems and whilst I received a very sympathetic hearing, I have received no feed back a month later. My other drug which was sent from the UK took 6 weeks to reach me despite the intervention of my lawyer and a Portuguese colleague.
The whole situation has been very stressful.
Surely compassion and common sense should prevail over the bureaucracy.

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. I hear it daily. Only killer drugs are available without a prescription (Nurofen: stomach bleeding ulcers; paracetamol: loss of kidney function). Sadly, many valuable drugs are mixed with huge quantities of paracetamol, making the active ingredient worthless. I hope you find a solution to your problem and apologize for not being able to help. Best wishes
