Emigrants' remittances rise 0.8%

Emigrants sent 302.87 million Euros to Portugal in February, which is equivalent to an increase of 0.82% compared to the same period in 2020, while remittances from immigrants fell 0.11%, according to the Bank of Portugal.

According to the data, made available on the page of the financial regulator and supervisor, Portuguese working abroad sent 302.87 million Euros in February, which represents a rise of 0.82 percent compared to the 300.41 million sent in February last year.

In the opposite direction, foreigners working in Portugal sent 36.8 million Euros, which represents a drop of 0.1 percent compared to the 36.8 million sent in February last year.
