Prime Minister António Costa is back in parliament today for the fourth general policy debate.

The prime minister returns to parliament at a time when topics such as the situation of immigrants in Odemira, the accounts of the Novo Banco or the justice system have dominated the current political situation.

This new model of debate on general policy replaces the fortnightly debates of about an hour and a half held since 2008.

They take place every two months; have two rounds of questions to the Prime Minister, over a total of three hours.
