The construction of the retail park is well underway now, with the developers hoping to complete the project in full by 2022, which will see it being home to 20 different stores.

The commercial complex is set to cover a total area of 14,500m2 and is expected to create some 620 jobs with stores including a Continente supermarket, Radio Popular, Homa and a Burger King confirmed as being some of the retailers to be present at the park, which has already sold 80 percent of its space.

A press release about the new retail park states that: “This venture, one of the largest in Portugal and the largest in the Algarve region in its typology, will be a point of reference and interest for the entire region.

“Located in a privileged position next to the A22 (Via do Infante) and the EN125, it represents an investment of around €25 million and should encourage the creation of around 120 jobs in the works phase and about 500 jobs when the business is in operation. The construction, started in January this year and the park is expected to open to the public in the summer of 2022”.
