Crime down 15%

Crime in Portugal fell 15 percent in the first four months of the year in relation to the same period of 2020, according to the Minister of Internal Administration.

In a debate on the restructuring of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) marked regarding a draft resolution of the CDS-PP, Eduardo Cabrita highlighted the data of crime in 2020, which reached the lowest values since 32 years.

"A trend that by the way, in a preliminary way, is recorded to be consolidated throughout this year 2021 in the first four months that point to a decrease of about 15 percent of the reports of crime in general," said the minister.
