More than 40 percent of Portuguese perceive corruption as rising

More than 40 percent of the Portuguese believe that corruption has increased in 2020, highlighting bankers, MPs and businessmen as the most corrupt.

These were the findings from association Transparency International in its Global Corruption Barometer. The report is based on surveys conducted between October and December of last year to more than 40,000 people in 27 European countries; the results indicate that 41% of respondents in Portugal said that corruption had worsened in the previous 12 months.
