The minister of Health has said that Lisbon could be at the peak of the covid-19 pandemic, but said that data for the next few days is needed to be sure that "the worst phase" has passed.

"In Lisbon, perhaps at the moment we are at the peak, but we need data for the next few days to be sure that we have passed the worst phase," said the minister.

However, she warned, even if that happens, it is necessary to continue to focus on basic precautionary measures which she described as being “not very demanding”.
