Very High UV risk across Portugal today

Portugal currently has a very high risk of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and only the Azorean island of Terceira presents a lower risk, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

On Terceira Island, the radiation index is high.

This five-level scale ranges from extreme to low risk

For regions with very high risk, the IPMA advises the use of sunglasses with UV filter, hat, t-shirt, parasol, sunscreen and avoiding exposure of children to the sun.

For regions with high risk, it advises the use of sunglasses with UV filter, hat, t'shirt and sunscreen.
