It will be screening from the North to the South of Portugal, showing in Porto, Coimbra, Figueira da Foz, Lisboa, Setubal, Faro, Portimão, Ponta Delgada, Nazaré and Ericeira, the Best of Ocean Collection will include four of the best films from the last 7 years and each event will include a supporting programme with hosts, guest speakers and prize giveaways.

The four films you are not going to want to miss out on are: Chasing the Thunder is an epic sea chase thriller navigating through the seas, directed by Mark Benjamin and Marc Levin where Ocean activist Bob Barker of Sea Shepherd hunts down illegal poachers in the Antarctic. It is the gripping account of an ocean adventure with a higher purpose, illustrating how much dedication and grit is necessary to protect our oceans and what a group of persistent individuals can achieve. The Weekend Sailor is a post-modern production directed by Bernardo Arsuaga where a Mexican amateur crew giving the sailing elite a run for their money in the world’s first round-the-world sailing race. It tells the legendary story of a man the sailing world wasn’t ready for.

Paradigm Lost is a film directed by Kai Lenny and is a story about how Kai Lenny was once a rookie amongst his peers but has evolved into one of the most versatile surfers. In Paradigm Lost, Kai Lenny shows us the ultimate water sports action in a variety of disciplines and in the best spots worldwide! Sonic Sea directed by Daniel Hinerfeld and Michelle Dougherty; we think of the ocean as a quiet place but this film explains the invisible force threatening life under the waves: Sound pollution. Sonic Sea is about protecting life in our waters from the destructive effects of oceanic noise pollution.
