"Nomad Homes operates in Paris and Dubai and will use the new financing to accelerate its expansion across the EMEA region, specifically in southern Europe, including Portugal and Spain," reads a statement from the company.

Protech, founded by Helen Chen, Dan Piehler and Damien Drap, was launched in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic, and according to the company, its transaction volume grew by more than 16 times during the first six months of 2021. It uses technology to "give buyers the confidence to find and buy their ideal home", which translates into a "simpler and more personalised" purchasing process, from research to financing and contract signing.

“We have established the mission to simplify the most important personal and financial decision of your life. We believe that the combination of technology and a personalised consumer experience empowers our customers to purchase their home with utmost confidence”, said Chen, CEO of Nomad.

The company will use the new financing to accelerate its expansion across the EMEA region, but will also continue to invest “heavily” in its technology and in offering additional products and services to provide a “one stop shop” for all issues relating to property. “We are particularly excited to continue to invest in new fintech products and pricing tools to further streamline the buying journey for our customers,” said Piehler, CPO at Nomad.
