The National Authority for Medicines and Health Products (Infarmed) has made available the list of pharmacies and of laboratories and collection points that carry out rapid antigen tests (TRAg) for professional use with reimbursement.

People can consult pharmacies and laboratories in their locality through these lists, which are “constantly updated”, through the Infarmed website.

Last Friday, the Ministry of Health announced free Rapid antigen tests for the entire population until 31 December.

The exceptional and temporary regime had ended in October, taking into account that Portugal was close to reaching 85% of the population fully vaccinated against covid-19, but the ministry decided to reactivate it due to the current epidemiological situation.

The ordinance sets the maximum amount that the Government will pay to pharmacies for each test carried out at 10 euros, which will be free for users. The free tests are limited to four per month per user, and the tests can only take place in pharmacies and laboratories duly authorized by the Health Regulatory Authority, as was the case before.
