The Ibersol group is preparing to open three new KFC restaurants, bringing the number of spaces in this chain opened in December up to five.

Caldas da Rainha, Lisbon and Funchal are the next locations and the five units represent the creation of 90 jobs.

After the restaurant chain opened a space in Vila Nova de Gaia at the beginning of the month — located on Rua de Raimundo de Carvalho, next to the accesses to the A44, with capacity for 84 people, drive thru, terrace and playground —, KFC has just opened a restaurant in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, with a capacity for 64 people in addition to the drive thru.

"Queen syrup; Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon; and La Vie Shopping Center in Funchal are the next three places where KFC will open restaurants by the end of the year. These five units create 90 jobs and these new openings are intended to respond to the need to decentralise the brand”, the company told Eco.

Present in Portugal since 1996, KFC now has 41 restaurants in the country. At a national level, the brand is operated by the Ibersol Group, a Portuguese catering group with a presence in Iberia and Angola, which operates fast food service brands such as Pizza Hut, Burger King, Pans, KFC, Taco Bell, Pasta Caffé, Ò Kilo, MiiT, Ribs, Kiosks, Cafeterias, Catering and other concessions.
