Maritime Police of Portimão and the Maritime Police Post of Albufeira "seized, over the weekend, nine more loads of narcotic drugs on several beaches in the municipalities of Albufeira and Lagoa, totalling around 315 kilos of hash," says the National Maritime Authority.

The nine packs of drugs were seized as part of the reinforcement of patrol actions along the coastline carried out over the weekend, adds the Maritime Police, noting that "they will be handed over to the Judiciary Police, together with the respective file".

The Maritime Police "will maintain and reinforce patrol actions along the coastline, with special focus on the municipalities of Albufeira, Lagoa and Silves, in order to detect any new bales of narcotics".

Since Friday, December 24, "a total of 28 bales" have been seized.
