In a note sent to the press, the Air France/KLM Group explains that “Portugal was one of the best performing markets in Europe throughout the pandemic” and continues to be a key market for the French-Dutch aviation group in southern Europe.

“Portugal continues to be a key market for the Air France/KLM Group in Southern Europe and one of the best performers on the continent during this very challenging period. Despite the circumstances, Air France and KLM never stopped flying from Portugal, even in the most difficult moments of the crisis. Now, after this time in which the Group has maintained its flexibility and agility to offer the best offer to its customers, Air France and KLM are taking another step forward in Portugal”, says Laurent Perrier, General Director of the Air France/KLM Group for Portugal and Spain, quoted in a press release.

According to the official, “the group will increase activity at its hubs in Paris-CDG and Amsterdam-Schiphol, where Portuguese travellers have access to the Air France and KLM network around the world, and offer more opportunities to customers”.

Next summer, Air France/KLM will have flights between Air France's Paris-CDG hub and the Portuguese airports of Lisbon, Porto and Faro, while KLM will have flights from Lisbon and Porto to its Amsterdam hub -Schiphol, in an offer that, according to the aviation group, “is complemented by code-share flights with its Joint Venture partner, Delta Air Lines, which is resuming its direct flights from Lisbon to New York-JFK and Boston ”.
