The fundraiser had a great turnout of 80 people, which made it possible to raise a fantastic amount of €2,500 for both charities. It was a great evening due to the fantastic rock n roll entertainment from “The Three Buskerteers” made up of Julia Hammond, Barbara Leitch and Roger Guppy, who got everyone up on the dance floor, making it a fun evening all round which ended with three encores!

The event also had two speakers, Debby from the Alerta Association and Nicola from SOSAA Charity who said some words as donations were collected during two videos. One of the videos was a compilation of slides and pictures of the Bombeiros fighting fires in which “The Three Buskerteers” sang the song “Smile” in Acapella and the second video was for the SOSAA charity which included photos of dogs and cats and they sang a song related to the video called “Born Free”.

Julia Hammond said: “It was really such a fun night and to raise money for two good causes was just lovely” and thanked all those who attended as their support was very much appreciated. Julia also added “a huge thank you to Dano’s Sports Bar & Restaurant and their absolutely incredible team, led by manager Amilcar, nothing was too much trouble, they were just brilliant.” Julia also confirmed that there will definitely be more fundraising events to come with “The Three Buskerteers” that the local community will be able to support.
