Jesus, 33, from Vila Nova de Gaia, is a seafood chef at one of the most prestigious hotels in French Switzerland, in Lausanne.

This year, the chef represented Switzerland in the sixth edition of the world seafood competition in the city of Nice.

"I'm very happy, it's a dream come true", said Tiago Jesus, noting that he had already participated twice in the competition that brings together professionals in the area of ​​seafood preparation in the French city.

The Portuguese chef won over the jury by presenting a dish inspired by the Winter Olympics. According to the 24 members of the jury, Jesus stood out from the nine competitors for the originality and quality of his performance.

"I thought it would be a good idea to use the theme of the Olympic Games in this edition, since it is a current theme and it is linked to my history", said the professional seafood preparer, referring to the fact that he lives in the city of Lausanne, known as "Olympic capital".
