The price of the print edition of Público increases by 10 cents from this Friday, from Monday to Saturday. According to Thursday's edition of the Sonae group's title, “this update follows the increase in raw material costs and production costs”.

In this context, Público, the price is 1.50 euros in the editions from Monday to Thursday and two euros in the editions from Friday and Saturday. The price of the newspaper printed on Sunday “is maintained”. According to Público, “this update will be insufficient to balance the impact of the rise in the cost of paper on the newspaper's revenues”.

Jornal de Notícias (JN) and Diário de Notícias (DN), of the Global Media group, also suffered a 10 cent increase as of this Friday, due to the rise in the price of paper. The editions of JN and DN on Fridays cost 1.80 euros, and with this update, the value becomes 1.90 euros.

Correio da Manhã, owned by the Cofina group, also increased its cover price by 10 cents. From Monday to Thursday, the newspaper costs 1.50 euros and from Friday to Sunday 1.90 euros.

The magazine Sábado, also from the Cofina group, will cost another 20 cents in the next edition. Currently the cover price is 3.80 euros.

“Saturday's subscription on paper and digital has an automatic 38% discount. The digital-only subscription, which allows you to access all online content and the e-paper magazine costs 6.99 euros”, says the magazine, in its latest edition.

The Sunrise newspaper maintains the price and Inevitável rose 50 cents.

Since the beginning of the year, Expresso has had a new cover price of 4.50 euros, “as a result of the increase in production costs, essentially with the sharp increase in the cost of paper, and the greater investment in talent and content of quality”, said the title at the time.
