Quality of life, the number of hours of sunshine, number of
hours worked, cost of living and the friendliness of residents were the
criteria evaluated in the ranking, according to a statement from Turismo de
Lisboa, which also highlights that Lisbon is also “one of the most beautiful
cities in the world”.
“Lisbon is a city of excellence, a vibrant, inviting and
warm city. Being recognised as the happiest city in the world is a stimulus and
a challenge to continue the work to improve the quality of life of residents
and to make Lisbon an increasingly attractive destination”, said Carlos Moedas,
Mayor Municipality of Lisbon and the Lisbon Tourism Association (ATL).

Happy not when I live in Sintra vila and 12 minutes from the Heath Center and they don't want to know even sending to them a residence certificate they want you to go to Mem Martins or Cacem ? And the supposed fake waiting list of 3 years waiting without any news and neither you know what is your position in the supposed list and neither they inform anything . They give preference to people that did moved to another area and didn't change their address and continue using the center taking the place of people that live in the area . Any one that doesn't live in the area of Sintra and did moved to a different area please go use the Heath Center were you live and stop begin selfish and taking the place of residents .

Have this people actually been to Lisboa and seen with their own eyes what it's like to live here? Have they seen the mounds of uncollected rubish, the e-scooters strewn all over the sidewalks by unconscious and careless users, the scourge of the false drugs peddlers in the Baixa or do they know that the biggest hospital in Lisboa had to shut down its ICU due to shortage of staff or for that matter that yesterday Lisboa's airport was shut off from the rest of the world because a kleptocrats private jet burst its tire rendering the airports single runway unusable? It seems that Moedas is surpassing the former mayors penchant for bought advertising instead of focusing on his job: making Lisboa a more livable city for its residents and visitors.

Rankings, like Google...are for those that pay who want be first...Had a home in Ponte de Lima...Braga hands down in terms of cities is way more happier than Lisboa...I mean it's the capital...Government and Money...
