The Portugal News is proud to have taken over Central Algarve Magazine, with the first all new look issue out now. The magazine, which has been very successfully published for nearly 30 years by David Harrison and David Ottewill of Vilas & Vacations, has now been handed over to The Portugal News, and while the look may be new, the same community focus and ethos of excellence remains very much in place. Mikaila Tutt Menezes continues to work on the magazine, and was responsible for the fantastic new look and design. She is now joined by The Portugal News team of sales representatives, journalists, distributors and all of the behind the scenes staff who helped to make this publication a reality, in putting together the magazine which is now available to pick up for free across the central Algarve and Golden Triangle.

All the favourites

We have of course kept all of the favourite features of the magazine, including the super handy directory of businesses, restaurants and bars, as well as the useful maps of the local area to help you find your favourite places.

And we are still focusing on showcasing the best the local area has to offer, highlighting local events taking place, speaking to local characters and telling local stories – everything that has made Central Algarve Magazine so special over the decades.

So, what’s new?

The first thing that you will notice is the all new clean design by Mikaila, making the magazine easy to read and a pleasure to keep on your coffee table. We have also upped the print run to 20,000 and increased the number of distribution points across Vilamoura, Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Almancil and Loulé – making it easier than ever to find the latest edition. Central Magazine also has a beautiful new website with more features coming very soon and we will be also publishing four times a year now, one more edition each year!

These are very exciting times, and we would like to thank David Ottewill and David Harrison for building the magazine up to what it is today and for providing such a strong foundation for us to now work from and grow in every upcoming edition.

And don’t worry if you are not living or visiting the Central Algarve, have a look at the magazine in full online at www.thecentralmagazine.com today or follow us on social media.
