European Union confirmed that British tourists will not pay any fees when visiting some European countries, until next year. The governors decided that the seven euros travel fee will not be applied until late 2023.

The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) was supposed to start working by September; however, the service will only be operational in November 2023. Every British tourist who aims to travel to one of the 26 countries from Schengen States, such as Portugal, Spain, France and Greece, must apply, through an official website, or by a mobile app, an application form and then pay the seven euros fee.

To enter in one of the countries from Schengen State, the authorisation provided by ETIAS will be mandatory and will be checked at the airports, just like the usual documentation required to travel.
