In addition to investing in an entertainment program that includes concerts “with great names in national music” and travelling entertainment, the “great fair on the Alentejo coast” once again promotes rural traditions, gastronomy and regional crafts.

The fair will take place at the Parque de Feiras e Exposições de Grândola, which, according to the Lusa News Agency, will have around 500 exhibitors, showing what exists in the region. In addition to the rural show, there will also be a musical entertainment program and the promotion of what is produced in the Alentejo coast region.

The music will feature great Portuguese artists, such as Maninho, Cuca Roseta, Expensive Soul and the M80 party – Tour 15 years to inaugurate the stage of Feira de Agosto.

There will also be equestrian activities at the arena, including, on 27 August, at 3 pm, the 24th Equestrian Festival. Also, concerning animals, at Praça Rural, there will be an exhibition of cattle, sheep and goats, together with representatives of the brands in the sector.

The regional gastronomy will also mark the area of Tasquinhas distributed around the venue.

As in previous years, in the Nave Central space, the spotlight is on the “A Gosto” wine space, promoted by the Association of Wine Producers of the Alentejo Coast.

The event with free admission, also bets on sustainability, using 50 thousand reusable cups, distributed to visitors free of charge. The Feira de Agosto will be a test so that the measure can be applied in other events in the municipality, reducing the consumption of plastic in this type of event.

A children's area will be implemented, as well as the Wi-Fi and ATM lines. Directional signs and tourist trains to the fair are also some of the new bets for the August 2022 Fair.
