The IPMA has also placed several districts in the North, Centre and Algarve at very high risk of rural fire. According to the institute, the danger of rural fire will remain high in some regions of the continent at least until Sunday.

The fire hazard, determined by IPMA, has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum, and the calculations are obtained from the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and the amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.

The IPMA predicts for today on the continent cloud coverage and the possibility of light rain or drizzle in the North and Centre until the end of the morning, most likely in Minho and Douro Litoral.

The forecast also points to weak to moderate wind prevailing from the northwest, sometimes strong in the highlands, especially from the afternoon, fog or mist in the morning and a small decrease in maximum temperature.

The minimum temperatures will range between 11 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 18 (in Lisbon) and a maximum of 21 (in Viana do Castelo) and 30 (in Faro).
