Autumn starts today with forecasts of generally cloudy skies
and temperatures oscillating between 21 and 31 degrees Celsius, according to
the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).

The autumnal equinox started at 02:04 today (Lisbon time),
according to the Lisbon Astronomical Observatory.
The minimum temperatures on the mainland will fluctuate
between 12 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Bragança) and 18 (in Faro) and the
maximum between 21 (in Porto) and 31 degrees (in Évora).
Autumn will end on December 21, with winter beginning at
21:48.
