"Today was the day of the CP strike. How many people are affected? More than 113 thousand people use the train to get to work in Portugal. Data reveals that 113,454 individuals used the train to travel to work, a number lower than the 129,306 verified in 2011.

The strike by CP workers, which began on Wednesday, suppressed 552 trains between 00:00 and 12:00 today, an official from the railway operator told Lusa.

According to a company source, a total of 557 trains were scheduled, with five having been carried out and 552 suppressed.
