In a statement, the UK government says: “Between 6-10 April there may be travel disruption due to Industrial action by Portuguese immigration officers. If you are travelling over this period, allow additional time to clear border control when entering and exiting Portugal.
“Check for announcements and follow the guidance provided by your airline or tour operator”.
SEF immigration officers have planned strike action which could affect passport control.
What happened to the plan to bring the police in when SEF are on strike?
I was caught in a four hour queue at Faro airport a few weeks ago and there were plenty of police just stood around doing nothing in the immigration hall.
