Over in North America, seven Government members will be visiting: minister of Justice Catarina Sarmento e Castro will be spending Portugal Day with the Lusophone community in Canada, while in the United States, secretary of State of European Issues Tiago Antunes, and Ana Sofia Antunes, secretary of State of Inclusion, will respectively be in San Francisco and Newark.

Following tradition, the Portuguese consular and diplomatic network will celebrate Portugal Day with hundreds of distinct activities, combining their own initiatives with local movements, “an effort undertaken by local Lusophone associations who, on countless occasions, have had the support of embassies and consulates,” MNE highlights.

Concerts, expositions, theatre plays, cinema and documentaries, seminars, traditional fairs and literature sessions are some of the initiatives scheduled for the celebration to commemorate Portuguese artists and their work.
