Education Minister Norma Foley has signed off on a €7 million fund package for the training of 60 new Irish-medium teachers a year through Marino Institute of Education and Trinity College Dublin’s Irish-medium education courses.

This comes after a huge increase in demand for schools with a complete offer of the curriculum in the Irish language.
