The organisers of Cannonball Ireland assert that this yearly cross-county procession of drool-worthy automobiles, which includes top brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Maserati, is the largest arranged "road trip" in Europe.

Throughout the three-day event's seven county-spanning itinerary, fans will get the opportunity to see these legendary machines up close in the host towns.

Cannonball Ireland, a company founded in 2017 by Kildare businessman Alan Bannon, is said to have raised more than €1.5 million for Irish charities so far. Mr. Bannon also calculates that the event's host towns profit financially by around €2,567,000 annually.

From September 15 to September 17, vehicle enthusiasts may anticipate a range of free rally-related events, including Brazilian dancers, live DJs, and bands, at each stop of this year's Cannonball.

The Cannonballers will be dressed as some well-known movie characters this year, and the organisers are encouraging spectators to participate as well. There will be prizes for the finest fancy dress.

The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation, an Irish charity that pays and provides in-home nursing care, respite assistance, and end-of-life care for children up to the age of six who have extremely complicated and life-limiting medical illnesses, has been named the official Cannonball Ireland charity for 2023.

“This support and tremendous drive from all the Cannonball crew will raise vital funds and awareness for Jack and Jill, at a time when the demand for our service is higher than ever,” says Alie Sheridan, director of fundraising at Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.

“That sense of belonging and enthusiasm about Cannonball 2023 is a huge lift for our care community and the 400 kids our nurses help, all over the nation.”

“Along the Cannonball's seven-county route this year, there are 216 families currently being supported by Jack and Jill through hundreds of local nurses, carers and volunteers who keep our service going.”

“We are all looking forward to an exciting weekend that puts the fun and fuel into fundraising, with every €18 donation supporting one hour of home nursing care for a local child and family.”

The Cannonball Ireland team will arrive at Malahide Castle on Thursday, September 14. Cars are scheduled to begin arriving at 6 p.m. The caravan will leave Malahide Castle the next morning at 10 am and make its way to Cavan, where it will halt for lunch at the Slieve Russell Hotel and Country Club.

With automobiles expected to arrive at the finish line on the Quay at 6pm to help celebrate the town's 300th birthday, the first finish line and overnight stay will be in Ballina.
