Portugal's Minister of Infrastructure has vowed the electrification of the Algarve Line will be complete next year, three years later than planned.

João Galamba attributed the delay to a lack of investment from previous governments and logistical challenges.
The minister personally visited the electrification work on the Algarve Line, which should have been completed in August 2021, on a train journey between Faro and Olhão.

Because, living in Lagos, I can see that electrification of this train line is NOT going to be ready this year, not sure even next year! (that far behind the work is currently)
