Due to structural and drainage problems that rendered the stand dangerous for visitors, it has been closed to the public for the past two years.
The 130-year-old structure's pillar restoration project came at a cost of about €400,000.
The Newbridge Gospel Choir gave a concert to reopen the bandstand.
Due to damage allegedly caused by large groups of people using it for outdoor socialising during the epidemic, it was closed off in September 2021.
Constructed in 1887, the bandstand is a shielded building not intended for large gatherings of people.
The Office of Public Works (OPW) stated in a statement that the structure is unable to withstand the “imposed and dynamic loading.”
