The Bacalhau and Olive Oil Gastronomic Festival returns to the restaurants of Vila de Rei, in the Castelo Branco district, the week before Easter celebrations.

According to Paulo César Luís, the president of the City Council on a replacement basis, the main objectives of this gastronomic festival are the promotion of local restaurants, the olive oil produced in the municipality and the appreciation of local gastronomy.

“Year after year, it increasingly becomes one of the main milestones in the gastronomic calendar in the centre of the country”, said the mayor.

The event will feature the participation and contribution of seven restaurant establishments in Vila de Rei, where cod and olive oil will be the main ingredients.
