The vibrant personality, well-known for his covers of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini and children's television shows from the 1980s and 1990s, stated he is bringing attention to the memory of his brother, who passed away in 2018.

Mallett started his trip to Northern Ireland with a tour of the Parliament Buildings at Stormont in the pouring rain. It was then that he met Emma Little-Pengelly, the deputy first minister.
