The match, which will benefit Palestine Sport for Life, Medical Aid for Palestinians, and Aclai Palestine, will be held at the Dublin club.

On Wednesday, May 15, the game will take place at Bohs' Dalymount Park.

The visiting team will be playing in Europe for the first time, according to the Palestinian envoy to Ireland.

According to Bohemian FC, the event commemorates the 76th anniversary of the Nakba, or disaster, which was the wholesale relocation of Palestinian refugees during the war that preceded the founding of Israel. It also draws attention to human rights violations in occupied Palestine.

Speaking on Wednesday, Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, the Palestinian ambassador to Ireland, said: "We are thrilled to have our women's football team play in Ireland for the first time ever. Working with Bohemian FC, who arranged this encounter for the first time in Europe, makes me very happy.

"Having our national team visit one of the few European nations that consistently and unwaveringly supports our rightful cause is the best way to remember the Nakba.

"Thank you to Bohemian FC, to Ireland, and to the Irish people."

"We want this to be a very special few days for the Palestinian team and the delegation visiting Ireland," stated Matt Devaney, president of Bohemian FC.

"We hope the Irish public supports this occasion and our efforts to raise a significant amount to assist and highlight the plight of people in a truly dire situation. We look forward to welcoming the Palestinian team to Dalymount Park."

Daniel Lambert, the chief operating officer of the Bohemians, stated: "We are working on a schedule for the Palestinian team and visiting delegation that will include cultural visits, but the game in Dalymount Park will be the highlight and send out a strong message of solidarity to the Palestinian people from Ireland, having received great support from Dublin businesses and service providers."

"We hope that welcoming them to Dublin and Dalymount Park will be an event to remember for everyone involved."

On Wednesday morning, tickets for the game went on sale. Adult tickets cost €40, while concession tickets cost €20.

According to Bohemian FC, anybody who are unable to attend but would still like to donate or buy a non-attendance ticket for the fundraiser can do so via their website.
