The 20 representatives from the Professional Football Clubs, who will be able to cast ballots in the next FPF presidential elections, “unanimously expressed their support” for Pedro Proença during a meeting in Ramalde.
According to the League's statement, the clubs believe in the “importance of a common strategy,” even though the current Liga Portugal president has not yet officially announced a candidature for the position of president of the Portuguese Football Federation.
The official statement said: “A stage that will bring changes that require unifying action between all the agents and institutions of Portuguese Football, with the President of Liga Portugal being identified as the central figure in resolving the issues identified as priorities for the future. At the end of the meeting, all the clubs with the right to vote in the next election process of the Portuguese Football Federation unanimously expressed their support for Pedro Proença.”
