This year the clock change will happen on Sunday, 30 March, with the clocks going forward by one hour.

If you are in mainland Portugal or the Autonomous Region of Madeira, at 1am you should move your clocks forward - as they will now read 2am.

If you are in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, you must change your clock at midnight, and move it forward to 1am.

Winter time will return on the last Sunday of October, that is, on the 26th, according to the Lisbon Astronomical Observatory website.

In 2026, there are two dates to be set for the time change: Sunday, March 29, and Sunday, October 25.
